Pastor Ed Lapiz founded and heads the Day By Day Christian Ministries, an evangelical
congregation with churches and missions in the Philippines, Japan, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia,
United Arab Emirates, Canada and the USA.
His radio programs are heard daily over regional and national stations, at times broadcast over
most of Asia, Africa and North America. His television appearances, both in the Christian and non-
religious programs minister to audiences in the Philippines and abroad.
His interests and advocacies include the development of Filipino nationalism, preservation of
cultural heritage, Filipinization of Christian church liturgy, the redemption of the arts for use in
Christian worship and ministries, the protection and restoration of the environment and the
“decolonization” of Christianity.
Aside from being a faculty member of the Institute for Culture and Arts Management of the National
Commission for Culture and the Arts, Pastor Ed also lectures the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster
sa Pilipinas (KBP), Department of Science and Technologgy, Department of Tourism, Command
and General Staff College of the Philippine Army and many more NGO’s, artistic, civic and
religious organizations.
His academic background includes undergraduate and graduate studies and degrees in Mass
Communication, Philippine Arts and Philippine Studies, all from the University of the Philippines.
Pastor Ed Lapiz brings to this undertaking his more than 25 years of experience in Christian
ministries, including five years of mission and church planting as an OFW (working as Editor-in-
Chief in a major tertiary hospital) in the Middle East, 20 years as head of Day By Day
congregations, and 50 years of being Filipino.
